WOW - Day #9!!!

As you may have already guessed....I did absolutely NOTHING for the past 4 days! I did swim a bit on Saturday, but that doesn't count since it wasn't that much swimming.  Between yesterday and today I have been stressing, I mean MAJOR STRESSING!! Everything from our living arrangements to where my kids will go to school, everytime I stop to think I change my this point I still don't know exactly what I'm doing or what I want except to make my kids happy.  Which by the way, my son is no help.....Me: "if we move would you be okay not going to PCH", son: "yeah as long as I can go to NB HS" - REALLY!! That means you are only giving me the chance to find a place in NB which can be very difficult...ugh! Then my daughter just refuses to leave her school.  She tells me that she promised her best friend that she would go there until 8th grade.....its exhausting having to deal with 2 completely different personalities!!!  They are soooo extreme - one doesn't communicate & the other communicates waaaayyyy too much!!
So as you can see I am really going insane.....add to the fact that I am the most indecisive person on earth. I want so much, but then don't want change...I'm ready to scream!!
Now I noticed it was 9pm and another day gone by without a workout, so I got my butt up & away from the computer and figured that running would be a great way to relieve some I did!!
So happy now, I am feeling a lot better!  I also decided to add an extra 5 minutes to my runs this week, so instead of 30 minutes, I will be aiming for 35 for the rest of this week.  Hopefully, I'll be able to increase another 5 minutes next week :)

Taking a Detour!!!!

So we are up & out of my dad's house by 7am.  It was hard and I tried to leave quickly, my poor baby girl even cried-I felt soooo bad for her.  Usually I'm the only one crying, but she really didn't want to leave :(  So,  we said goodbye-hope to be back soon (permanently) and we drove off!
About an hour out, we stopped for breakfast and had to practically make a run for it, LOL! There were like 20 buses full of kids!! By the time we got inside, the Dunkin Doughnuts line was like a mile long-ugh, there goes my coffee!  So we had no other choice but to eat burgers at Wendy's, everything else had super long lines that we didn't want to wait on!
We grabbed our burgers and left.  A little while later Laz asks me if I want to stop at Clearwater Aquarium.  At this point, I'm not 100% sure-I was sad about leaving & felt like just being home to calculate & come up with good, concrete reasons to move to Florida.  On the other hand, I really wasn't looking…

Weekend Trip to Niagara Falls, Canada~Part 2

Here is our 2nd day in Niagara Falls.  We started our morning with breakfast in the hotel restaurant.  After breakfast we headed over to Marineland.  This park was nothing spectacular, but it was a nice little trip.  We saw a dolphin show, saw several other animals, killer whales, fed Beluga whales and rode 1 or 2 rides.  Again, nothing spectacular but it was fun.  A lot of walking, and our favorite part was feeding the beluga whales - they were so cute!
The dolphin show was also fun!  Its been a long time since we've seen dolphins in action.

After all the walking, we were run down and hungry.  We headed back to the hotel to shower and prepare for our dinner at Massimmo's Italian restaurant.  The view was beautiful!  I enjoyed dinner, but hubby and baby girl didn't.  I like to try new things and unfortunately the other 2 don't - and there wasn't much on the menu that they liked.  Baby girl had Ceasar Salad, hubby had Minestrone soup and I had Linguine Carbonara.

Cooking Corner: Cookbook Challenge Day 1

Hi everyone!  I'm starting April with a little challenge for myself.  You are all welcome to join if you choose.  I have a rather large collection of recipes that I've never tried and since I started to declutter my life of things I don't need, this is one area that needs help. What do I need so many cookbooks and binders of recipes for? I don't know - it just takes up space and it's another thing for me to clean.  So, I decided that if I can't find good recipes that we love, there is no point in keeping the book or recipe.  I attempted this challenge a few years ago but never followed through.  This time, I intend to stick with it.
Here's my challenge:
Pick a book a month and try some recipes.
Decide what we like and what we don't.
If I have at least 15 recipes that we like, the book stays.  If not, I'll just copy the few recipes we liked and get rid of the book.
Not sure what I'll do with the book yet.  I'll figure it out at the end of th…
